أيها العراقيون و العرب الأماجد

يا أحرار العالم

لا يخفى عليكم ما تعرض وما يتعرض له العراق والعراقيون بعد الغزو والاحتلال والتدمير والانتهاكات الفاضحة والواضحة والخطيرة بحق هذا الشعب الصابر الصامد وبحق قيادته الشرعة المعتقلة. وإزاء ذلك وبعد تأسيس ما يسمى بالمحكمة الجنائية من قبل الحاكم الأمريكي والتي لا شرعية ولا دستورية ولا مكان لها في تاريخ القضاء العراقي صاحب الإرث العظيم حيث تجري محاكمة صورية لرمز كبرياء الأمة السيد الرئيس صدام حسين وما رافق ذلك، فان هيئة الدفاع تؤكد بأنها لا زالت الممثل الشرعي والوحيد للدفاع عن رمز العراق ورفاقه ولا تعترف بهذه المحكمة التي تمثل عدالة المنتصرين وقانون القوة والتي يطل دائماً من منبرها ممثل الادعاء العام الذي يمثل الادعاء الشخصي وبتصريحاته النارية الاستفزازية من أن الرئيس صدام حسين سيجبر على حضور المحاكمة بالقوة، فإننا نؤكد بان الرئيس صدام حسين لا يجوز إحضاره بالقوة وسيتحمل مسؤولية مقامرته إن حصلت أمام الشعب العراقي وسيمثل ذلك إهانة للعراقيين بكبريائهم وصميم كرامتهم وأنتهاكاً صارخاً لكل الأعراف والقوانين وحقوق الأنسان، وبذات الوقت فان السيد الرئيس صدام حسين لم ولن يضرب عن الطعام لأنه لا يزال يمثل الشرعية بعزها وقوتها والإضراب لا يمثل سوى سلاح الضعفاء.

إننا نحمل سلطات الاحتلال ما تعرض له السيد برزان التكريتي من ضرب مبرح شديد على أيدي مغاوير الداخلية والذي نجم عنه إصابات خطيرة تم التأكد منها من قبل قوات الاحتلال وتصويرها، وعليه نناشد المجتمع الدولي بكل هيئاته ومنظماته بالتدخل الفوري والعاجل لشجب هذه الانتهاكات وإطلاق سراح السيد الرئيس الشرعي صدام حسين ورفاقه ليقرر الشعب مصيره بنفسه .

S T A T E M E N T

To the Glorious Iraqi and Arabs

To all freedom loving people around the world

No doubt that you are aware of the hardships faced and still being faced by Iraq and Iraqis since the invasion, occupation, destruction, grave striking and serious violations against this patient forbearing, steadfast people and their legitimate detained leadership. After the creation of the so-called criminal Court by the American governor, a court which is illegal, unconstitutional and have no precedent in the history of the Iraqi judiciary and which was created to make a show trial for President Saddam Hussein – the symbol of Arab's pride – with all the developments that accompanied this mockery trial.  In spite of all these, the Defense Committee reaffirms here that it is still the sole legitimate representative to defend the symbol of Iraq and his comrades.

The Defense Committee does not recognize this Court that represents the victor's justice and the law of might with the Prosecution who exploit this forum to act as a personal claimant with fierce, flammable and provocative statements which were dictated on him to the effect that President Saddam will be brought to appear before this court room by force.  We confirm to this Prosecutor and the others that it is not permitted to bring President Saddam to the court room by force.  That who may do so will be held responsible before that Iraq people for his gambling.  This will be an insult to the pride of Iraqis.  At the same time, President Saddam will announce a hunger strike because he still represents the Iraqi legitimacy with its pride and power.  A hunger strike is the weapon of the weak people.  We hold the occupying forces responsible for the severe beatings of Mr.Barazan Al-Tikriti by the commandos of the Ministry of Interior.  Mr.Barazan was seriously injured and the occupying forces knew for certain about this and have photographed the injuries.  We appeal to all the bodies and organization of the international community for their immediate intervention to put an end to such violations and to release the legitimate President of Iraq – Mr.Saddam Hussein and his comrades so that the Iraqi people can freely make their self determination.
